Eastern Europe 2005

So it’s confirmed. I’m going to skip Croatia and spend more time in Italy instead. I’m just gonna have to work out my itinerary again now. Venice, Verona, Milan, Cinque Terre… I don’t know if I’ll have enough time!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to work on it this weekend. Been busy with other, mostly work-related stuff *sigh*. Not going to mention any details because I’d like to keep this journal strictly for travel-related entries.

I could just see myself strolling down the streets of Verona (just saw it on "The Great Outdoors" the other night, and immediately thought "It’s on my list!!")… *wistful sigh*

I really should start buying Lotto..  Imagine not having to work and being able to travel all the time (well, for as long as you wish anyway). Ahhh, the dream…

Looks like I won’t be able to go to Croatia after all. All thanks to f***ing Indonesian passport. My travel agent rang me the other day and told me that the stupid Croatian embassy only accept visa applications IN PERSON, which means I would have to go down to either NSW or ACT. As if.

It’s times like this I wish I had an Australian passport. I wouldn’t even need a visa for most of the countries I’m visiting this year. *sigh* Oh well. Hang in there.. I’m getting it later this year - hopefully.

I suppose if I really can’t make it to Croatia, I can always spend more time in Italy. I wanted to go to northern Italy, around Cinque Terre area anyway, so it would be a good alternative.

I’m still waiting for all the visa application forms to come back. Will update more later.
